	Bay Endodontics was established in Tauranga in March 2008 to provide specialist endodontic care to the residents of the Bay of Plenty and beyond. There is now no need to travel beyond the Bay to receive endodontic treatment! The surgery is equipped with state of the art specialist endodontic equipment manufactured in Germany, USA and Australia. All procedures are completed using a Zeiss surgical operating microscope and a custom designed endodontic instrument cart made by ASI USA. We use an Adec dental chair specially designed to ensure patient comfort. To minimize exposure to radiation and assist better diagnosis, the surgery is equipped with 3D and digital x-ray units. Electronic record keeping is achieved using a software program specially designed for endodontics by an American endodontist. Together with Darryl’s commitment to excellence, Bay Endodontics is primed to provide the highest quality endodontic treatments available to you.
	Darryl Violich ENDODONTIST Darryl Violich spent 20 years in general dental practice in rural New Zealand before undertaking postgraduate study at the University of Otago completing a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics) in 2007. He is passionate about dentistry and endodontics in particular as he recognises this discipline is dedicated to retaining natural teeth. It is his firm belief that there are no real substitutes to natural teeth both for function and aesthetics. His dedication and commitment to providing excellent specialist dental care is well known, many patients coming to see him from as far as Hawkes Bay and South Waikato. Darryl Violich is the first and only endodontist in the Bay of Plenty.
	Brittany DENTAL ASSISTANT Brittany was born and raised in Tauranga and joined our team here at Bay Endodontics towards the end of 2016. This year she gained the Certificate in Dental Assisting through the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA). Brittany enjoys the interaction with patients and being able to assist others in improving their oral hygiene. Outside of work Brittany plays the snare drum in a pipe band and has gained a Diploma in New Zealand Highland and National Dancing.
	Alicia OFFICE MANAGER/RECEPTIONIST Alicia joined the team in March 2018- Alicia has extensive experience working for medical specialists in Australia. She had handled reception duties for various orthopeadic surgeons and opthalmologists. Alicia acquired many transferable skills from the medical to the dental environments and specially atuned to the relationship between the general practitioners and registered specialists. Alicia owns an avocado and kiwifruit orchard along with her partner John. She is a proud mum to a little red haired boy Lachy.
